We would like to welcome our new batch of VMers! :)
VM Running Man!! On 8th Sept, we had our 1st VM orientation plus bonding session. VMers first gathered at Bras Basah Station at 10am. Immediately, they are split into 4 groups and given missions to complete around town areas. VMers were super enthusiastic and enjoyed themselves! Our final mission was based on the popular korean variety show "Running Man" where VMers have to find clues and eliminate members from the other teams at Fort Canning Park. This really tests the abilities, as well as, the agility of VMers. VMers love the games! :)

On 13 Sept, we had our 1st official VM meeting. VMers introduced themselves to everyone and learn more about each other. VMers were then informed of their respective portfolios for Kids' World 2012 in Dec. We ended the meeting with a birthday celebration for the Aug/Sept babies! :)

NTU WSC Volunteer Management
Welfare Services Club is a non-academic constituent club in NTU which provide an umbrella of voluntary activities and social work.
We consists of 3 committees, namely Regular Service Projects (RSPs), Special Projects (SPs), and Supporting Committees (SCs). Volunteer Management (VM) is currently one of the Special Projects under WSC.
Volunteer Management organizes events to expose the students and staff population of NTU, who are not regular volunteers, to volunteering.
Every year, we will source for different beneficiaries which are those that we are not regularly helping out in. The events we organize differ yearly ranging from fund raisers to outings except for our annual 3 day camp for underprivileged children, Kids' World, in December.
Our events range from 1 day to 3 days for the beneficiaries and for every event we plan, we would need volunteers. Hence, this provides an avenue for students and staff who are unfamiliar with or are unable to volunteer regularly to be able to learn more about volunteering.
VM serves to act as a bridge which links the beneficiaries to a larger population and to potential regular volunteers.
We hope more volunteers like YOU will join our BIG family! :)
