VM has started a new initiative, which is to provide a new platform for NTU students to interact and mingle around with the elderly! We thank you for the overwhelming sign up during Kids' World 2011, and we hope that you will be equally passionate about serving this golden generation (:
AS SUCH, introducing Golden Generation 2012!
This event is a pilot project initiated by VM, specially for raising awareness and understanding of underprivileged elderly in Singapore. Through interactive games and communication with the younger generation, VM hopes to enrich the lives of the elderly and at the same time, provide a new avenue for NTU/NIE students with little or no experience to be involved in this act of kindness.
The actual event will be held on the Sunday 1st April 2012, from 9am to 2pm, mainly within Labrador Park.
The recruitment drive will be on Thursday 8th March 2012, from 9am to 5pm, at North Spine. Applicants are also able to send their applications to g.generation.vm@gmail.com latest by 10th March 2012. Successful applicants will be notified via SMS.
Hope to see ya there! :)

about us
NTU WSC Volunteer Management
Welfare Services Club is a non-academic constituent club in NTU which provide an umbrella of voluntary activities and social work.
We consists of 3 committees, namely Regular Service Projects (RSPs), Special Projects (SPs), and Supporting Committees (SCs). Volunteer Management (VM) is currently one of the Special Projects under WSC.
Volunteer Management organizes events to expose the students and staff population of NTU, who are not regular volunteers, to volunteering.
Every year, we will source for different beneficiaries which are those that we are not regularly helping out in. The events we organize differ yearly ranging from fund raisers to outings except for our annual 3 day camp for underprivileged children, Kids' World, in December.
Our events range from 1 day to 3 days for the beneficiaries and for every event we plan, we would need volunteers. Hence, this provides an avenue for students and staff who are unfamiliar with or are unable to volunteer regularly to be able to learn more about volunteering.
VM serves to act as a bridge which links the beneficiaries to a larger population and to potential regular volunteers.
We hope more volunteers like YOU will join our BIG family! :)
